Ten Easy Steps To Set Up You iDevice Calendar

Yesterday we reminded you that you can subscribe to the tour Google Calendar / Itinerary on an iDevice (like an iPod Touch, an iPhone or an iPad).  We shared some links, but didn't go into set up detail.  Since then, we've put together a quick guide to help you set it up.

Here are the ten easy steps, spelled out for you:

On your iDevice ...

1. Open up 'Settings'
2. Select 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars'
3. Near the top of the screen, touch 'Add Account ...'
4. You will now see a list of several options.  Touch the last one called 'Other'
5. Touch the last button on the next screen, called 'Add Subscribed Calendar'
6. You will now see a prompt to enter a 'Server' address.  Enter this URL exactly: http://tinyurl.com/6m7r8au
7. Touch 'Next'
8. After it quickly verifies the calendar, you will now see a 'Save' button.  Touch it.
9. Exit back out of the 'Settings' menu with your 'HOME' button.
10. Tap the Calendar App on your iDevice, and voila!  The itinerary now appears on your device.

You will note that all of the events, from June 14th forward, will show up in local European time.  Once your iDevice connects with a WiFi network in Europe, your calendar should automatically read these events in local time, provided you have the "Time Zone Support" turned ON in your Settings.  This can be found in SETTINGS > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Calendars > Time Zone Support.
